AP dispatch from MUSTAPHA PASHA reports the Forrees of Adrianople captured by Bulgarian forces after days of brutal combat. Flames sweep Adrianople as the city burns amid the storming action following Monday’s engagements. In a separate note, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals rules no city may establish a reservation for prostitutes.
Exchange National Bank lists officers and directors including A. J. Nance as President J. R. Christal as Vice President J. C. Coit as Cashier E. D. Curtis as Assistant Cashier with J. H. Paine Ed. F. Bates Dr. J. M. Inge and A. C. Owsley among the board members.
About 100 Denton business and professional people took the first of the county extension trips Tuesday at 9 30 a m visiting Stony Ponder Justin Roanoke and Argyle. The 5 car convoy with 1090 travelers drew large welcomes from towns and schools along the route.

In Columbus Ohio on March 26 telephone lines to the west side were restored and reports say 156 people drowned. Dozens of bodies were observed floating down the Scioto River as rescuers worked amid the aftermath of the disaster.

March 26 Dayton Ohio reports the flood crest passed around midnight and waters are receding. About 509 dead estimated, though exact toll uncertain while rescuers with boats search flooded districts. The inundated area spans fifteen square miles with six to fifteen feet of water, largely in the north and west riverfront business area where a sudden wall of water broke the levee before clerks began work. Around 70,000 people remained marooned or unable to reach homes last night.

A Denton County jury found Alva Wilkerson guilty in two of five forgery cases, with two year sentences in each. Three cases remain to be tried next week. W D Derr pled guilty to burglary and drew two years. jurors signed a clemency petition to Governor Colquitt for possible pardon.
Competitive exams at the C. I. A. Tuesday awarded the Sons of Herman prize for German compositions. Senior class winners Edna Duncan, Lucille Cowdin, Mable Gilbert earned first to third place with ties listed. Middle class winners Susan Cobb, Clara Bouland, Lilla Pearce placed first to third. The $159 prize money was divided: $35 to first, $25 to second, $15 to third.
A Whitesboro hail storm damaged the town with drifts six inches deep and many windows shattered. A resident reported fruit trees stripped, limbs broken, and widespread property damage from the heavy hail at 4 30 in the morning.
