Yesterday and last night Texas saw heavy fire losses across cities including Nacogdoches Fort Worth Texico and other towns. Strong prevailing winds worsened conditions as authorities tallied the damage and listed affected areas.
Early morning fire at Fort Worth damaged the Scott-Wison Lumber company yard. Fourteen horses and two mules perished while lumber stacks burned, totaling a five thousand dollar loss. Unknown origin.
The firm announces the purchase of W. R. B. Jones & Co gent's furnishing and tailoring business and asks for continued public patronage.

In Simsbury Connecticut a mother Mrs Anna Miller and her two children were found dead in the Farmington River. A note indicates she killed herself and her children, driven by low mental spirits. The bodies were discovered today.

A tornado or hurricane struck the Howard school house near Grandfield Oklahoma yesterday afternoon, killing two students Mabel Witts and Ogra Witts and injuring a girl named Wallace. Thirty three students were in the building when it was demolished. miraculous that more died.
