Near Riot on Katy Train From Fort Worth
Denton passengers recalled a near riot on the Katy train from Fort Worth when a drunken man in the smoking car cursed the crew, fought bystanders, and shattered windows. Deputy Carruth arrested Jess Strickland of Pottsboro. he pleaded guilty and paid 41.70 in fines. Strickland later attempted suicide by poison in the sheriff’s office and was rushed for medical care.
