Associated Press dispatch reports wide condemnation of police handling of suffragist parade in Washington on March 4 as women plan to urge a congressional investigation. Indignation crosses lines, with even anti suffragists criticizing the force. The Houston I.O.F. grand lodge met there yesterday with over 1,500 attendees.
An unofficial list places President Wilson's cabinet with W. J. Bryan as Secretary of State, Wm. G. McAdoo Treasury, Lindley M. Garrison War, J. B. McReynolds Attorney General, A. C. Burleson Postmaster General, Josephus Daniels Navy, D. F. Hotston Agriculture, Franklin K. Lane Interior, Wm. C. Redfield Commerce, and Wm. B. Wilson Labor.
Stirring animation and impressive ceremonies marked the inauguration as enormous crowds gathered in the capital. Woodrow Wilson of New Jersey was formally declared president and Thomas R. Marshall of Indiana vice president, with the inaugural program beginning at 10 30 and running about five hours.
