WEIMER February 21 The condition of Representative George Herd who is ill with meningitis was critical at 11 am today as doctors reported no change in his status and kept him under close observation at the hospital.
Associated Press reports a small tornado hit Hammetts Branch near Milford causing several thousand dollars in damage with no fatalities. In Hillsboro a heavy wind damaged surrounding areas by similar amounts this morning.
For Penton and Vicinity tonight fair colder freezing. Saturday fair.
Reported uprisings erupt as the populace shows indifference to Ma Deros fate. Authorities charge Ma Deros with planning multiple executions amid growing unrest.
In Mexico City and across the republic, reports of revolutions rise while General Orozco travels to pay respects to the new government. Zapata and De Alo resist, four northern states refuse allegiance, and Senora Madero pleads for her husband’s life as Madero remains under guard. Taft and Knox instruct diplomacy against summary execution.
In Mexico City on February 21 the Zapata followers signaled loyalty to the new government with at least part aligning with the regime.
Ambassador Wilson wired from Washington that Madero will not be confined unjustly nor executed but will receive a fair trial with exile as the harshest potential outcome.
The February term of the Sixteenth District Court opens Monday with lists of petit jurors for the first week and grand jurors. A summary of the docket for the first week notes cash sittings and subsequent sessions.

President-elect Wilson, in Philadelphia, completed what he hopes is his last dental appointment before his inauguration. When pressed about politics during the visit, he replied that the dentist sometimes talks politics but he cannot answer.
About 639 trees were planted by city schools for Arbor Day with ceremonies by pupils, Mothers' Clubs and the park commission. Bottles with names were buried as part of the observance.
Students at R. E. Lee Jackson and Sam Houston schools held indoor programs then filed outside for arbor day exercises. Flags, tiny United States flags, and bottles with donor names accompanied each plant. In total 357 trees at Lee, 175 at Jackson, and 107 at West Side with donors including park commissioners and mothers clubs.

Senate action on the House public buildings bill includes a $75,000 appropriation for a federal building in Denton. A telegram to Alvin M. Owsley notes promises from Senators Culberson and Sheppard and Representative Stephens to push the Denton project.
A home of Mr and Mrs Geo Smith in Harrisburg Pa was destroyed by fire killing seven children aged between one and twelve. Fire officials say the blaze left no survivors among the youngsters and investigations continue. In other news two dreadnought battleships are funded in a House Naval Affairs panel bill approving 146 million dollars.
Washington reports that the inaugural committee decided there will be no donkeys in the parade on March 4.
