A J Fouts writes from Parsons Kansas Aug 9 1912 to the Record and Chronicle about awaiting a train to Humboldt to visit friends. He notes rain in Denton and lighter rain in Parsons with crops suffering from drought. They arrived at 7 am and plan to leave for Humboldt at 11 am to meet friends for a few days before returning north. The message is signed A J Fouts and wife.
