Trade Trippers to Start Promptly on Denton Excursion

Forty autos line up as the fourth and final Denton Tradeg excursion begins on time Wednesday morning. Cars will depart the square at a precise hour with all numbers kept for each car. Celina Aubrey Pilot Point and other towns plan hospitality for visitors. Organizers expect the trip to be the crowning success. A repair car will accompany the fleet to handle any breakdowns.

Brussels April 15. More than a quarter of Belgium’s workers joined a socialist led strike to protest a voting system that favors the clerical party. AP tallies show about 276,900 out. No violence reported. four arrests for interference with nonstrikers.

New Trial Refused in Cook and Barrow Cases at Sixteenth District Court

Friday night session of the Sixteenth District Court near the end of the February term overruled motions for a new trial in Claude Cook and Jim Barrow cases. Cook received a 99 year sentence for killing his father in law in 1912. Barrow, a two year term for cattle theft by conversion. Bond for Barrow set at 1500. Other civil matters and continuances noted. Judge Spencer away until Saturday.
