About 625 dollars raised at the Fayette County North South football game were turned over to the Fayette County Cancer Drive. E W Dunkley reported to the Mount Hope Lions Club as Mrs E W Bailey thanked the club for support. The club bought an artificial eye for a Mount Hope girl and guests included A S Mort ion Minette Brooks Tom Anderson and Nancy Graney. Lions night featured group singing and entertainment by Dwight Warnock.

More than 30 teachers signed a petition at a Pineville meeting to offer American Colonial History, History 308, via college extension. The class began last night at Pineville High School at 7 p.m., organized by a Concord College faculty member from Athens. West Virginia University will offer graduate and undergraduate courses at Beckley and Welch, with Wyoming County not scheduled for this year. Wyoming teachers may enroll at either site. Union Girl Dies After Auto Wreck
Miss Virginia Crozier aged 17 died from injuries after a Saturday night car crash half a mile from Second Creek. The Chrysler coupe owned by John Walker and driven by his daughter Jayne carried four others who were uninjured. Funeral services are set for 2 30 p m at Union Methodist Church with burial in Green Hill Cemetery.
