Securities Safe Halt Ordered By Auditor
State Auditor Denzil Gainer ordered Pioneer Investment Securities Co to cease and desist selling securities in West Virginia. The firm, not registered to sell here, was dissolved last May for nonpayment of corporate license taxes, yet some members may have continued selling. Gainer asked for a written list of sales transactions for further investigation. The nature of the complaints was not disclosed. More than 200 agricultural plants are produced commercially in California.
