In Brussels a four story government building housing the Economic Affairs Ministry toppled after a nearby bulldozer undermined it. Two Killed On Safe Roads In West Virginia
West Virginia police report two highway deaths over the weekend raising the year’s toll to 299, up from 247 last year. Everett Corbin, 44, of Parkersburg, died after his car lost control and went over an embankment on West Virginia Route 2 north of Parkersburg. Loretta Mae Forrester, 36, of Bristol, Harrison County, was struck by a car on U.S. Route 50 near Clarksburg while walking to church services. The driver was Earl W. Holt, of Mt. Clare.

Charles W. DeBoard 41 of Summerlee waived grand jury action on a murder charge during a preliminary hearing before Magistrate Frank Simms. No bond set. DeBoard held in Fayette County Jail. He confessed to shooting 17 year old Kenneth Ray Scott in the back as Scott fled from DeBoard’s home at 7 15 p m Sunday amid a dispute over truck repair payments and a promised radio to Scott’s stepfather. State police said the incident followed an argument involving Frederick Johnson Jr and Arnold Scott. The case continues.
