Constitution Party VP Candidate Tells State Newsmen
Ted Billings, vice presidential nominee on the Lightburn ticket, told Charleston reporters that Goldwater and Johnson policies differ little. He blamed liberalism for social ills, urged repeal of Civil Rights laws, and predicted the party could win votes in the South despite limited resources. Billings urged fighting the Demo republicants and favored strict domestic policy changes and a Vietnam policy of winning or withdrawing. He discussed concerns about federal overreach, juvenile delinquency, and the erosion of free enterprise, noting his Denver health food business and Ohio birth.
