Woman's Club Backs Schools Amendment and Airport Levy
Raleigh County officials spoke at the Beckley Woman's Club session as the department endorsed the Better Schools Amendment and the Raleigh County Memorial Airport levy to fund local improvements. The levy aims to equip a 6,700-foot runway with possible extensions to 9,200 feet, with $1.2 million from local funds and the rest from state and federal sources.
