Variety Show to Open In Mt Hope Tonight
Mt Hope opens with Fun for You a radio style variety show at Mount Hope High School auditorium tonight at 8. Ten scenes featureThe Quiz Kids Sings and Grand Ole Opera parodies with a large cast including Uncle Ezra Minnie Peart and Lana Turner impersonations plus Civil War and WWII troop portrayals. A swordfish over 400 pounds, claimed as the largest caught off Long Island, was shown in Freeport.

Veterans of Foreign Wars sponsors team of local talent impersonating Hollywood and radio stars with a barn dance and a chorus from the high school band. Proceeds fund community projects adopted by the groups for the year.

Three Hospitalized After Auto Wreck Near Richwood
Three people were hospitalized after an automobile accident at Holcomb Bridge on Friday in Richwood. Injured were Jo Anne Rose and her sister Jean of Hillscoro, plus Priscila Ruckman. Two others remained injured at home.

Injury trio return home after hospital treatment
D S Ruckman of Miss Jo Anne Rose and Hillsboro and Lewis Buzzard of D S Ruckman were allowed to Marlinton to return home after treatment. The most seriously injured were at Sacred Heart Hospital where Miss Pricilla Ruckman remains described as serious. Miss Jean Rose and Lewis are also patients there.
