Funeral services for Reedy Gene Roberts 62 of Beck ley are set for 2 p m Wednesday at the Clay Chapel Cameron led by Rev Wade Webb and Rev Robert Davis. Roberts died Saturday night after a long illness. He was born May 16 1903 in Flat Ridge Va and is survived by his widow Sylvia Clay Roberts one son Charles Hubert Jr one brother Ray of Oak Hill and five sisters. Burial will be in Clay Cemetery Cameron. The body will be moved to the residence Tuesday afternoon and to the church an hour before services. Also listed are arrangements for Mace Medley 66 of Winona who died early Sunday. The body is at Ritchie and Johnson Funeral Parlor and proceeding arrangements are pending.

Youth Panics Injures Tank Mobility In Montrose Maneuvers
Kenneth Parker a 17 year old member of Company B 77th Armored Division lost control of a 50 ton tank during an incline maneuver at the Army Reserve Center. He panicked and pressed the throttle instead of the brake causing the tank to cross a street crush a pickup and damage a soda shop and a station wagon. No injuries occurred as another soldier returned the tank to the center.
