New Auxiliary Buildings Open at Pinecrest Sanitarium
Three Public Works Administration funded structures at Pinecrest Sanitarium are accepted and occupied. The nurses and doctors home, laundry, and hog and dairy barns were built at a total cost near 128000 with 104000 furnished by the PWA. The nurses home includes 56 nurse capacity, private baths, physician suites, recreation and library rooms, and future 150 bed unit potential. The hog and dairy barns feature automatic milking and feeding systems, 50 milk cow stalls, cork floor beds, and modern stock housing.

The body of A. E. Miller, pioneer Beckley bank cashier and former president of New River Grocery, arrived from Battle Creek Michigan. Funeral services are set for tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the family home, with interment in the Bellepoint mausoleum crypt.

Play Director Named Woman Killed in Fall From Porch
Mrs. Eunice Wilson aged 67 died hours after falling two feet from her back porch Friday. Services will be conducted by Rev. Mr. Douske at Glen Daniels with interment in Glen Daniels cemetery. Family Group Entertains At Shady Springs Meeting
A community meeting Friday at Shady Springs featured Cecil J. Miller of Sylvia school as speaker. His niece Joyce Rogers performed songs and dance with Miller’s aunt E D Tétry on piano. Joyce’s charm drew praise. Miller urged “More Education for Adults” as lifelong learning. Cakes crowned the social hour as attendees enjoyed the program hosted by teachers Maude Troutman and Feazelle of the adult night class.

Truck Plunges Over Bank Near Dry Creek, Driver Breaks Ankle
