Oceana High School was robbed during the weekend with about $550 in change and small bills taken from the gym and office area. Principal Christian said the door to the second office was pried. investigators from the State Police and county officials have several leads and fingerprints.

Stabbing Victim Sells in Oceana Serious Wound
Marvin Sells, 40, of Oceana, was admitted to Wyoming General Hospital at 8 p.m. Sunday with a five inch stab wound in the upper abdomen. He said three young men in a car cursed him and one stabbed him while he walked past Oceana High School. He could not identify his assailants and is listed in serious condition.

First Christian Church honors its first full time pastor
The First Christian Church organized in 1349 with 11 charter members held a reception for its first full time pastor Rev. G. N. Perkins and his wife at the parsonage 1503 Moran Ave. Guests included state and local church officials. Perkins began duties June 1 after pastoring in Radford and Victoria Virginia. The new Maple Avenue brick church, dedicated Feb 21 1954, now has about 75 active members.

Driver Fined and Jailed in Moonlight Drink Driving Case
Marshall Lee Seathers, 44, of Logan County, was charged with drink driving after a Sun Monday night collision with Roy Whitt of Mount Hope. In Virgil Lyons court he received 57.30 dollars fines, five days in county jail, and a six month license revocation. Both cars, a 1250 model and a 1950 model, were total losses with no injuries. Police stated the crash occurred at 9 45 p.m. One day after the incident.
