Berserk tenant massacres tenants in West Los Angeles hotel
A middle aged tenant ran amok in a two story rooming house in West Los Angeles at midnight. Four people were killed two were struck with a revolver and three were shot to death while another was injured. Victims include Edward P. Clark 60 Cal G Britton 62 and Sherman Sheridan Burch Sr. 62 of Modesto. Landlady Lucy Hannon was shot as the killer fled. Daniel Haro 31 West Los Angeles was wounded and hospitalized in serious condition. About 50 officers searched the area near the UCLA Medical Center after a radio complaint drew police. The killer is described as gray haired bespectacled about 45. Authorities said the man may have been upset by a loud radio complaint earlier in the night.
