Woman and two men held as robbery suspects
State and county police held two men and a woman today over possible roles in the armed robbery of a Worthington A and P grocery Saturday night. The store manager was shot in the leg and about 45 dollars were taken from the register. A 19 year old Arden Kollins of Smithburg died after being shot in the stomach near Maxwell Ridge in Doddridge County. James R. Givens, 25, of Charleston was injured while cleaning a rifle in Randolph County. Jack Martin, 67, of Beverly was shot in the hip while on chores. Two Ohio hunters, James Leo Shaver, 42, and son Wayne, 22, of Gallipolis, were hospitalized after a car skid on W Va Route 3 near Ellamore between Buckhannon and Elkins.
