The Lochgelly Woman's Club discussed buying milk for four children at East End Elementary. Alfred Lochgelly, 76, died from burns after a fire at Meadow Fork Elementary. survivors include two sons and three daughters. A Christmas party for local children and a cancer drive were noted. next meeting set for Dec 16 at Mrs. Ike Brown's home. Boone YRC Committees To Be Named Next Week
Rufus Kannon, newly elected temporary president of the Boone County Young Republican Club, said committees for membership in five county districts will be announced early next week. Membership cards are being printed for committee chairmen, with dues of 1 dollar yearly. The reorganized YRC includes Dewey Harless as temporary secretary treasurer and opens membership to 18 to 46 year olds in Boone and adjacent districts including Raleigh, Clear Fork, Marsh Park, Boone's Creek, Washington, Sherman, Peytona and Scott. Ezra Lilly H G Shaffer Jr and Pat Keenan will be legal advisers. by laws are to be presented by a committee for a spring meeting.
