Palm Springs California AP reports Tord Ove Zeppenfield, son of Olympic diver Vegas Zeppenfield, is sought for questioning in the beating death of Lillian Lenorak, 42, a Hollywood divorcee. Police say he was last seen hitchhiking near India heading toward Yuma Aziz, armed and dangerous. Evidence includes a sawed off shotgun barrel found under his mattress and a bloodstained shirt near the murder scene at a desert motel.

Colcord resident Charles Thompson aged 32 died at 10 30 p m Thursday in Carbon Fuel Mine No 16 Cabin Creek on Coal River side of the mountain. He was found dead after partner Charles Harris returned to the scene. He was caught between a coal loader and a coal rib.
