Woman Tried for Murder in Pittsburgh Trial
In Pittsburgh a 50 year old widow Meta Miller faced murder charges for the August 9 killing of her husband Frederick 61. Her 12 year old son Robert testified he heard three shots then saw her place a gun in her handbag claiming she shot in self defense. Her daughters Laura and Dorothy 14 also testified seeing her pack the handbag while they were awakened. The defense plans to portray Miller as a downtrodden woman oppressed by her husband and lacking food in the home.
