Fayette Car First in State to Be Equipped for Television

Mount Hope residents Al Lovitz and FE Epperly claim the first West Virginia automobile fitted with a television set. They recently returned from Cincinnati after a trial televised drive, using a Standard table radio receiver. Lovitz, the installer and radio technician, and Epperly see potential for future car installations once broadcasting facilities expand.

Girl Scouts to Serve as Sunday Baby Sitters

Athens President Davine Kirby announces the Athens Senior Girl Scout troop will baby sit for parents attending church and gatherings on Sundays. The troop plans an Armistice Day wiener roast at Speedway Park with chair O'Dell Wiley and members Nancy Stewart and Gay Anderson coordinating. Additional projects include a radio play, child care through the Joca baby sisters, recreation at the Methodist Church youth center, and a Saturday recreation program for seven to ten year olds.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Morgan 73 of Guyan will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Road Branch Church with Rev. Rice Browning officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery. Townsley Funeral Today For Mrs C L Townsley

Funeral services are set for 2 p m today for Mrs C L Townsley of Brooks who died Saturday in Clifton Forge Va hospital. Rites will be at Bellepoint Baptist Church with Rev C H Martin officiating and burial in Roses Chapel Cemetery. Graveside rites will be by the Rebekah Lodge. Mrs Townsley was en route to Newport News Va to visit family when she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and was removed from a train at Clifton Forge.

Kopperston Lions Club announced winners in three lawn contest divisions with George Baxter, Robert Wright, and Rufus Davidson taking first place. Miss Felice Jobe of Glen Jean is senior class queen and Miss Mary Lou Mitchell of Oak Hill is freshman queen at Marshall College homecoming dance. Jobe, a business admin English major, has held the senior queen honor since post war football began in 196. Mitchell is active in Delta Sigma Epsilon sorority and student council. Blankenship Held Under 2500 Dollar Bond

Clyde Blankenship is held under a 2500 bond set by Judge F Macton Wagner after a grand jury charged him with fatally wounding James Dawson of Princeton on October 24. Other entries include drunk driving, grand larceny, selling liquor, arson, and probation petitions. several cases continued to January term. Glenn Tweed waived extradition to Virginia on a charge of violating conditional parole and faces an involuntary manslaughter indictment. Carl Joe Nutter was admitted to practice in this court.
