5000 Expected To Sign For Rationing At Oak Hill Liquor Store
Approximately 5000 people are expected to register at Oak Hill State Liquor Store before the June 15 closing date, announced by Manager Roy H. Sexton. Over 700 signed on the first day, Memorial Day closures paused activity, with ration sales to begin June 17. Oak Hill serves multiple nearby communities. six other state stores and two agencies operate in Fayette County. Registration requires strong identification such as driver’s licenses or voting certificates.

Parents and son held for theft in Fayette County
In Oak Hill two parents remain in Fayette County Jail awaiting grand jury action while their son faces juvenile authorities after Tuesday arrest. Arthur Shull 60 of Stonecliff and his son allegedly broke into Elenora Dickinsons home and stole goods valued at 75 dollars. Slater waived to grand jury and bound at 1000 dollars. Mrs Grace Shull of Thayer is charged with receiving and concealing stolen goods and held under 500 dollar bond.
