Record of Lawson Little's historic British Amateur win at Prestwick
The article recalls Lawson Little’s record 14 and 13 victory over Jim Wallace at Prestwick, marking one of golf history’s most remarkable amateur triumphs. Little dominated the opening 18 holes with 33 and 33, then finished 86 strokes over 22 holes, reflecting fierce partisan support and his later pro career. He reflects that such a stretch may never be matched and apologizes to Wallace on the final greens.
