Danese Woman Treated for Infantile Paralysis

Roberta Juanita Heimich, 38, of Danese, is treated at Mar met Children’s Hospital for infantile paralysis. She contracted the disease at home and was admitted Tuesday, May 20. She is the daughter of Clyde Helmick and wife of a Danese resident.

Guest Night Observed by Oak Hill Civic League

Oak Hill civic league members held guest night at White Oak Country Club with entertainment by Mrs John Scott Mrs C P Andes son de and Mrs Raymond Tissue. Piano and vocal selections were performed by Dr J N Jarrett and Mrs H B Shaw. The league named a new president and committees for the seat. Stores in Oak Hill will stay open today but close Friday for Memorial Day observance.

Offenders Installed At Oceana Club Meeting

Oceana Woman's Club installed Mrs. L. W. Beane as president after a Tuesday service at First Baptist Church. Retiring president Mrs. Lillian Botney led the ritual for staff including Mrs. Philip Roach and others. Junior members spoke on Universal Military Training. Sewing Workshop Series Slated at Mullens School

Mullens High School plans a sewing workshop series for adults and students, led by Mrs. Woodrow W. Cook.
