Girl Collapses At Vice Trial
The Associated Brew York reports that Nancy Presser, a platinum blonde slightly blurred in the witness stand, collapsed and forced a postponement of the vice ring trial led by Special Prosecutor Thomas E. Dewey. She named Charles Lucky Luciano as the man who ordered the operation and identified three co-defendants Abraham Wahrman, David Betillo, and James Frederico as visitors to the scene. The 24 year old former models admitted drug addiction but said she took no stimulant before testifying. She fell ill again, ending the day.
