Young Bandit Surrenders After Airport Standoff

A reportedly 19 to 21 year old Dallas youth nicknamed a bandit held Meredith Roberts 20 of Waco at Dallas Love Field for hours. He robbed a Waco market and abducted the clerk’s wife, demanding an escape by jet and drugs to stay awake. Police coaxed him to surrender with the hostage unharmed and the woman freed.

Two Hijackers Free Hostages In Malawi Flight Incident

A South African Airways Boeing 727 landed at Blantyre Malawi where two hijackers freed nine hostages but kept the plane parked. The Arabs remained at the door to the cockpit amid security cordons as troops sealed the airfield.

Unidentified Boy Helps Rescue Two Men From Plane Crash
