Fines Total $1,000 for DNA Regulation Violations
The Department for Natural Resources levied $1,000 in fines after appearances before area magistrates. Hawley Coal Mining Corp paid $500 for Dry Fork pollution near Beartown. Red Ash Sales and Processing Co paid $100 for drainage system neglect near Saeger. Additional $100 fines issued to U S Steel Corp for Tug River water pollution near Gary and Bay Resources for Dry Fork pollution near Taeger. Several individuals faced $20 fines for offenses near Rainelle, Lake Bluestone, Crumps Bottom, Lake Stephens, and Bald Knob. Officers from DNR District IV, based in MacArthur, conducted the arrests.
