Mrs Rosetta Jarrell 81 died at her daughter Oma Milams home in Arnett after a long illness. She is survived by another daughter Brady Pettry two sons Asa and Covey both of Pine Knob two sisters and three brothers all of Pine Knob 22 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Services will be 2 pm Saturday at New Hope Church Pine Knob with Rev Wade Webb and Rev Willie August officiating. Burial in Dickens Cemetery Pine Knob. Body to be moved from Armstrong Funeral Home Whitesville to Milam home at 2 pm today.

Whitesville RNS The Executive Committee of the Business and Professional Woman's Club met in the Appalachian Building with Mrs Ridge Pittsonberzer presiding. The committee voted to adopt three immediate projects including a Clean Up Campaign along area highways, a first aid school open to all members, and a plan to locate and install roadside picnic tables. West Virginia's first public institution was Weston Insane Asylum built in 1866.

Two Men Waive To Grand Jury In B&E Case
In Pineville two Wyoming County men Dall Cline 20 and Curtis Walker 18 waived grand jury action on charges of breaking and entering at a Pineville hearing before Magistrate W P Wilson. They confessed to entering the Curb Drive in Hanover on the county line Tuesday night and stealing between 40 and 90 dollars from a pinball machine. Bond set at 2500 each. remanded to Wyoming County Jail in lieu of bond.

Final phase of $400,000 Tech renovation finished at Old Main
At West Virginia Institute of Technology Montgomery the last phase of a $400,000 renovation of Old Main is complete. The work adds eight classrooms eleven offices four meeting rooms and a music department extension with ten practice rooms a theory room a large rehearsal room and an office. Construction began last summer and is now ready for open house invites.

Virginia Lee Ayers Deintler died in Beckley on Thursday after a brief illness. Born April 9 1990 in Harvey she was daughter of Estelle Ayers and the late Charles Ayers. Thumbs Injured In 3 Accidents In Mullens Area
Three people suffered left thumb injuries in separate incidents. Meldie McKinney, 2, at Mullens store, had a compound fracture after her hand was caught in an elevator door. J Oliver Weekley, 52, of Pineville, fractured his thumb when a bar slipped at the Simaan mine. Le Foy Sperling, 15, of Ury, lost the first joint when his thumb touched a jig saw. All were treated at Wyoming General Hospital.
