Justice Holmes Yankee Philosopher
Oliver Wendell Holmes cannot be boxed into law or philosophy with a single label. He blended stoicism skepticism and optimism, living as a curious scholar who works life like a bee gathers honey. He viewed the universe as fathomless, saw life as an end in itself, and urged being a willing instrument within the inscrutable end. He stayed young by work, joked retirement, and believed death is inevitable while one must fix eyes on the next campaign.
