Therapy Committee Gardens Seeds For Mullens Exceptional Children
The Laurel Garden Club therapy committee held a monthly workshop at Mullens Elementary School with exceptional children. They planted pepper and tomato seeds to transplant later and flower seeds. Each student received a green carnation for St Patrick's Day, and Hugh Gentry's birthday was celebrated with cakes and soft drinks. Mullens High School band will be featured on WOAY-TV in Oak Hill taping March 25 for a March 30 airing. Band director Gene Allen announced at a band association meeting led by president Mrs. W. A. Delp. A band banquet is planned for May 10 in the high school cafeteria with decorations by student committee and help from home economics teacher Mrs. Woodrow Cook.
