Rites Wednesday For D. W. Kirby Drowning Victim
Funeral services are set for Darrell Wilbur Kirby 25 of Mount Hope who drowned in New River Sunday night after the boat overturned. The Rev. G E Pauley will officiate at Missionary Baptist Church North Sand Branch with burial at Sunset Memorial Park. Survivors include wife Patricia Gray Kirby mother Mergie Thornton three sons David Darrell and D Wayne three brothers Claude William Fadis in the Navy and a sister Erma Lee Adams. Body to be moved from Quesenberry and Webb Funeral Home to the residence at 4 p m today.

Rape Charge Dismissed Against Grantsville Youth
A 17 year old Grantsville boy faced a rape charge in Calhoun County but the case was dismissed on Monday after the warrant was withdrawn. He had been arrested by State Police around 7 p.m. Saturday and was to be tried before Magistrate C. T. Burdis.
