In Raleigh county court two confessed killers received prison terms totaling 18 years. Mariano Loma was given fifteen years for shooting Harrison Grose, a county league baseball player, at Cooktown on April 11. Alzie Stepney, a Marfork Negro woman, was sentenced to three years for voluntary manslaughter in the killing of George Lewis at Marfork on March 14.
