She will teach at Palmetto Junior-Senior High School in Miami starting fall term Aug 18 and enroll at Florida State University for six weeks of graduate work on a Science Foundation scholarship.

Clyde Workman 55 of Bloomingrose will have funeral services Saturday at 2 p.m. at Seth Church of God with Rev. Burton Webb officiating. Burial follows in Fauber Cemetery. He died Wednesday in Charleston after a long illness. Survivors include wife Kate six daughters two sons two sisters two brothers and eight grandchildren. Body to be moved from Valley Funeral Home to his home at 4 p.m. today.

Trainman Dies Of Heart Attack In Freight Caboose
John Ferguson, about 72, a Virginian Railway trainman, died of a heart attack in the cab of an east bound freight train near Mullens after its 2:30 a.m. departure bound for Roanoke. The conductor Sam Cale found him. Ferguson had recently moved from South Mullens to a home between Princeton and Bluefield.

Tralee Post Office Robbed Of Funds
Thieves forced a window to enter the Tralee Post Office and stole about 69 to 70 dollars in postal funds on a Wednesday night, according to State Trooper James Fairchild. The entrance to the Semet Solvay Corp. store was also attempted but unsuccessful, investigators disclosed.

Cary Elsie Smith 37 of Scarbro died at Oak Hill Hospital after a long illness. A Semet Solvay Coal Co. retiree, he was born November 30 in Mossy. Survived by son Cardell Smith and multiple stepchildren, brothers, a sister, and two grandchildren. Funeral at Advent Christian Church Scarbro Sunday at 2 p.m. Rhinehart Cemetery burial. Jemann Youth Killed In Car Accident Near Mullens
A car plunged through a guard rail on a curves near Iroquois early Friday, killing Jimmy Raymond Price 14 and injuring Milford Foley 19 and William Ray Barlow Jr. 18 while Frank Tilley 20 escaped unharmed. Price, unlicensed, allegedly took the family car without his father’s permission. The wreck, around 12:45 am, left the car on its top beside the Virginia Railroad track after striking guard posts and turning onto the shoulder. Price’s death was attributed to a broken neck and suffocation. He was a Mullens High School upcoming senior, son of Jesse and Laila Price, with family roots in Kentucky. Funeral arrangements were set for Offord, Kentucky, with burial in the family cemetery.
