A federal inspection praised Marianna No. 1 mine safety measures including rock dusting and proper explosive storage. Truck Overturns Near Pineville In WV Incident

Two Mullens youths Richard McKinney and Bobby Sanders escaped injury when the Majestic Laundry Truck left State Route 16 near Pineville and overturned after McKinney passed a car. Damages were estimated at 100 dollars. the truck carried soiled laundry and the occupants were residents of Washington.
