Sideline Slants notes the Sunday Register prognostications misjudged several Raleigh county league results. Beaver beat Glen Morgan. Mabscott beat Eccles, leaving Beaver and Eccles contesting the post season spot. Fireco upset Glen White, while Cittsville routed Beckley Haking. Skelton vs Price Hill was the sole incorrect guess. Long-distance games and spring training analyses follow with pitchers Pennock and Rhem credited for early success.
