Funeral services are set for Lester Moorehead a 20 year old man found by a Virginian railroad track after an apparent attempt to board a freight train. Blind girl drowns in Cumberland River tragedy at Barbourville

Child Accuses Four Attackers In Centinela Park
Olive Everett age 11, sister of two of three slain girls, told a county grand jury that four men attacked her at Centinela park where the girls were lured to their deaths on June 26. District Attorney Baron Fitts ordered park supervisor Haskell Wright held in technical custody on Olive's charges of molestation. Wright says a man named Eddie the Sailor, not Albert Dyer, lured the girls and committed the killings and ravishment. The girls previously identified three men as Eddie the Sailor.

Family Living On Ancient Farm Near Warwood
WHEELING The fifth generation of the Atkinson family still lives on 324 acres bought 151 years ago for about 8.75. The land on state route 2 north of Warwood was deeded to Captain John Atkinson by Patrick Henry when Virginia was governor in 1786. Captain Atkinson, part of George Washington's Ohio river survey party, chose the site for his homestead. The original deed remains with the family. The grant was issued for one pound fifteen shillings sterling. The two story log cabin built later still stands and the present fruit cellar, dug by the family, is in use.
