Edna Gautier Rites Planned At Lester Church
Funeral services for Edna Gautier 62 of Lester are set for Friday at 2 p.m. in Lester Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Wor ley Cemetery Balt. She died Wednesday in a local hospital after months of illness. Survivors include her son Joseph of Lester, daughter Mrs. Alice Burford of Topeka Kansas, brother Dewey Meagows, sister Mrs. Blanche Bonds, and one grandchild. The body remains at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Frank Humphrey, Les Bowling, Eddie Birch, Pete O Neal, Eugene Stover, Howard McGhee.

Two More Join MH Organization In Raleigh County
The Raleigh County Association for Mental Health expanded its membership by two on Wednesday night. New members welcomed were Miss Joyce McGuire and Miss Nancy Boyd during a picnic at Little Beaver Park attended by twenty seven people. The Mount Vernon Baptist Church finance committee set an 11 a.m. Sunday service with Rev. Elmer Day delivering the sermon and WM Terry in charge.

Mental patients taken to Huntington State Hospital
Two Raleigh County residents were removed from the county jail for commitment to Huntington State Hospital. A Trap Hill man and a Clear Fork District woman were ordered committed after hearings last week before the Raleigh County Mental Hygiene Commission.
