Princeton Elated Over Coal Deal From Winding Gulf Operators
Princeton residents cheer a letter from George Wolfe secretary of the Winding Gulf Operators Association announcing that starting July 1 coal companies will supply run of mine coal to the Pioneer Coal Company and Brown Coal Company at FOB tipple for 1 per ton with fair retail profit. The arrangement aims to keep prices economical as local coal yards are expected to honor a fair charge for delivery to coal houses. The association had cut output on April 1 but says home consumers must be cared for amid rising prices while current costs reach about 7.75 for the same coal.
