Red Dog Blocks Boost Beaver Block Co Production
Beaver Block Co owners Lawrence Pruetti and Lowell Lilly create a new red dog building block from local slate, cheaper and lighter than limestone, shedding water and lasting longer. A decade of work, a 10 year supply contract from Affinity, and a plant expansion on Sullivan Road support a plan to market the pinkish blocks statewide with a 25-employee workforce and over a million blocks yearly capacity.
