Ohio Men Fined in Fayette Magistrate Hearings
Two Ohio residents Harold Holden of Willard and Myron Hill of Millersburg faced fines of 30 dollars each after a Fayetteville magistrate found them guilty of driving while drunk. Holden, driver of the truck, and Hill, passenger, were also fined and the truck impounded for six months while Holden's operator’s license was revoked for the same period. Trooper H. D. Springer arrested them.

Train wreck at Clark's Gap injures fireman during electric locomotive arrival
At Clark's Gap on the Virginian Railroad two electric trains collided, injuring fireman George Hoge with a minor leg sprain. The crash delayed westbound traffic about an hour and forty minutes as the line and the new giant electric locomotive were moved to Mullens for inspection and repair.

Fatal Gunshot Wounds End Life of James Lester
James Lester about 23 of Bud Mullens died around noon yesterday in a Mullens hospital from gunshot wounds to the lower face. Police probe details while family suspects a self inflicted act as Lester had retired early. Friends say he planned marriage after recently buying a house. Notes to his mother and girlfriend were found. The body remains at Robertson and Foglesong Funeral Home pending arrangements.

Shields Funeral Set Wednesday
Funeral services for Ronnie Joe Shields 13 of Baileysville are set for 2 p m tomorrow at Baileysville Methodist Church with Rev Wirt Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Shannon Cemetery. He died yesterday at Stevens Clinic Welch from pneumonia complications. He was born February 20 1934 in Premier Meg Dowell County and survived by his mother Lettie Shields five sisters Estel Cooper Walda Harvey and others and a brother Dorris Shields. The body will lie in state at Robertson and Foglesong mortuary before the funeral.
