Funeral services are set for Carnegie Cameron Coleman 37 of Scarbro who died from injuries after his body was crushed beneath a tractor at Garden Grounds near Mount Hope Tuesday. A wartime veteran born November 26 1909 he is survived by his mother and several siblings. The American Legion Red Devil post will lead the services with burial at Coleman cemetery in Lick Fork.

Neighbors Rescue Aged Woman From Oak AHI Fire
A 97 year old woman was carried to safety by neighbors when Blaine Persinger’s home in Oak Will burned Friday night for unknown reasons. Oak Will volunteer fire department responded around 21:30. Some furniture was saved from the five room house behind the Methodist church. Persinger, a water company employee in Oak Hall, lived there with two others who were home at the time.
