Trout Stocking Again Proposed By Sportsmen For Four H Lake
Lawrence Pruett of Beaver successfully led Raleigh County Gun Club to shift the game and fish committee recommendation from bass and crappies to trout for the Four H Lake on Little Beaver Creek. He argues trout would provide recreational fun for children and older residents, despite the Conservation Commission labeling the lake a poor trout dam. Tracy Maynor will present the changed plan to the commission, aligning the lake stocking with trout as usual, while bass and blue gills are chosen for the Big Beaver Creek lake to balance species.
