Voter Canvassers To Be Appointed Jan. 7
Registrars for a house to house canvass of voters in Raleigh County will be appointed by the County Court in its regular meeting Jan. 7 a spokesman for the court disclosed today. Lists of workers are submitted by chairmen of the two major political parties, providing a two member canvassing team for each precinct to check voter registrations. The West Virginia Code requires a canvass of voting records every four years. Canvassing begins in January and changes up to 30 days before the Primary on May 12.

The Bulgarian news agency BTA called the verdict final with no appeal. The Supreme Court ordered execution by firing squad. Georgiev, 56, faced treason charges after a Thursday trial, with Western observers predicting the death penalty.
