Scarbro Minister Weds North Carolina Woman in Lexington

The Rev. Gilmer H. Cross of Scarbro married Miss Bernice Apple of Lexington North Carolina at the First Baptist church in Lexington. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Louis S. Gaines with wedding party and music by several pastors and singers. The couple will be at home in Scarbro Tuesday.

Miss Hinton Paints Charleston Holy Night Tableau

Miss Ethel Hinton of Tinton and Charleston painted a Holy Night tableau on the Charleston executive mansion porch. Floodlights illuminate the scene which will stay until New Year’s Day and features the Maldonma the Christ Child and three wise men along with other manger visitors.
