Unions Seek Court Rehearing On Rail Work Rules
Five unions representing over 200000 railroad workers ask the U S Circuit Court of Appeals to reconsider its ruling allowing anti featherbedding work rule changes. They argue the decision nullifies Railway Labor Act provisions on pay and conditions and could erase bargaining over wages and hours. If denied, they may take the case to the Supreme Court as a temporary stay blocks rule changes.
