Picketing Considered In Mount Hope Housing Dispute

Mount Hope housing project workers weigh picketing as plumbers and electricians clash with the Mount Hope Housing Authority over wages and apprenticeship rules. Public Housing Authority maintenance engineer Thomas Wing defends prevailing wage compliance and says the work should not be contracted out. Local unions consider labor action but acknowledge it may or may not yield gains. Wing asserts the project employs three journeyman plumbers for a job needing two.
