Fayetteville reports the September circuit court term will hear numerous criminal cases. Prosecuting Attorney Carl B. Payetteville report says Quincy Taylor 31 of Long Branch was fined 100 dollars for keeping land exhibiting slot machines. State Police Sgt. W R Callaghan said Taylor owned a pool room and beer garden and pleaded guilty before Magistrate Virgil Lyons after a raid Saturday. Three slot machines were seized.

Mullens Man Suffers From Cleaning Fluid Burn
Andrew Smith a Mullens roomer at the Tolliver Hotel attempted to use cleaning fluid to remove paint from his arms and shoulders. He was treated by Dr W W Wells for superficial burns to both arms and the neck. Bandages and tape were required to cover the burned areas.
