Plea to Set Aside Verdict Denied in Raleigh Court
In Raleigh County Circuit Court a motion by Hennis Freight Lines to set aside a jury verdict and grant a new trial was denied. A similar bid by B W Shuttes was granted. Myrtle Eewee Alloy administratrix of Tony Alloy deceased, won $11062.68 for the estate. The Hennis Corporation received a 60 day stay of execution pending appeal to the West Virginia Supreme Court with bond. The action arose from a highway crash that killed Alloy’s husband. A separate order dismissed the suit Jose Perez Moran administrator of Floyd Moran versus Maxwell S Carpenter after Moran’s son was killed on Valley Drive in an auto crash.

WWHS Band Tag Day Aims to Raise Band Transport Funds

Peregoy notes effort to gain Athletic Department support, but football receipts must cover operation maintenance and stadium bonds.
