Baptists Ordain James E. Ramey As Pastor At Newport Church
James Edward Ramey of Mullens was ordained to the Baptist ministry at First Baptist Church Newport Wisconsin on July 28 and has served as pastor since November 1. The ceremony featured Rev Jarret T Chandler formerly Mullens pastor and WV Baptist executive secretary. Ramey attended Alderson Broaddus College Crozer Theological Seminary earning a Bachelor of Divinity and was called to Newport after the retirement of Rev Everett Rockwell. His brother Bill works as a Virginian Railway yard engineer in Elmore and lives at Myrens.
